Privacy Policy
Effective August 24, 2026
SpyGame is designed for playing a word-association party game with people you know. It has no advertising, analytics, user accounts, purchases, or cross-app tracking.
Information used by the app
The app saves a display name, an optional profile image, a randomly generated player identifier, and sound preference on your device. During online multiplayer, your display name, optional profile image, player identifier, team and role, room code, clues, guesses, card suggestions, and game state are transmitted to the SpyGame game server so the room can function and so you can reconnect to your seat.
Choosing a profile image is optional. If you use this feature, SpyGame asks for access to your photo library, resizes the selected image on your device, and uses only that selected image as your room avatar. SpyGame does not scan or upload the rest of your photo library.
How information is used
This information is used only to provide multiplayer game functionality, synchronize turns and timers, show players in a room, and restore a player’s seat after a temporary disconnect. It is not used for advertising, profiling, analytics, or tracking.
Sharing
Display names, optional profile images, and game actions are shared with the other players in the same room. The hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes network traffic to operate the service. We do not sell personal information or share it with data brokers or advertisers.
Retention and deletion
Online rooms are temporary. Room and game data are kept only while needed to run or reconnect to a game and are removed after the room is inactive, no later than six hours after all players disconnect. Local preferences remain on your device until you change them, clear the app’s data, or uninstall the app. You may request help or deletion information by email.
Children
SpyGame does not knowingly request a real name, email address, location, or other contact information from children. Players should use a non-identifying nickname, especially if they are under 13, and play with family or people they know.
Security and changes
Multiplayer traffic uses encrypted HTTPS and WebSocket connections. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. If this policy changes materially, the effective date on this page will be updated.
